Amma-Sika Shares Princeton in Africa Experience

Amma-Sika Adomako (SPA/MA) '24 Writes from Ghana

Princeton in Africa Fellows spend one year in an African country working within local communities in the field of development. From Amma-Sika: "As a Princeton in Africa Fellow based in Ghana, I support Warc Africa, an agricultural social enterprise focused on empowering smallholder farmers through regenerative agriculture and inclusive development. MyÌýwork spans strategic planning, project coordination, and impact measurement. A key highlight has been co-developing a fish farming business plan for a displaced coastal community in the Volta Region. Babkir Awarded Second Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Babkir Uses Second Award to Complete Ph.D.

Aneisa Babkir (SIS/BA) '23 has been awarded the Gates Cambridge Scholarship for a second time to pursue a PhD at the University of Cambridge, following a previous award for her MPhil studies. Her research focuses on the intersection of gender, displacement, and post-conflict peacebuilding in Sudan.Ìý

Building on her MPhil work, her doctoral research investigates the material, affective, and embodied dimensions of displacement as an enduring socio-political condition. Through this work, she aims to challenge and expand conventional approaches to post-conflict reintegration and peacebuilding. Her commitment to this work is shaped by both academic inquiry and hands-on experience across international development contexts.

СÀ¶ÊÓÆµ Named Top Producer of Fulbrighters for Ninth Time

СÀ¶ÊÓÆµ hasÌýbeen named a top producer of Fulbright US students and Fulbright US scholars for 2024–25 by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

This marksÌýthe ninth time in the last 13 years that СÀ¶ÊÓÆµ has been named a top producer of student Fulbrighters, but the first time that the university has been named a top Fulbright scholar-producing institution since at least 2009-10.Ìý
