Housing and Residence Life听hopes to create communities where students feel they belong authentically, where diversity including visible and nonvisible identities are celebrated, and where inclusion is not only embraced but is paramount.听Our Themed Communities听celebrate听the diversity of our听students, and create听supportive and inclusive environments to thrive.听Read below for descriptions of each community!

All Themed Community programs and activities are open to all American听University students regardless of race, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected under University policy or applicable law.

Explore Culture & Identity

Roper Hall themed community was established in 2020.听All 小蓝视频 undergraduate students who reside in the Roper Hall themed community help foster a warm and vibrant community supporting social, personal, and academic success. The community is open to all undergraduate students.

What to Expect

Residents in Roper Hall are strongly encouraged to participate in periodic community programming and dialogues intended to build community, promote learning, and support wellness. Roper Hall staff will organize opportunities for residents to attend cultural events and general university programs as a group. Students will gain leadership skills, learn to better understand one another, form friendships that can last a lifetime, and have fun.

罢丑别听FIRST Flight Floor听is a supportive and enriching residential community designed for students who are the first in their families to pursue higher education. This community fosters a welcoming environment where residents can navigate college life together while receiving tailored resources and support.

罢丑别听Eagles in CommUNITY听floor is an inclusive and affirming residential community dedicated to LGBTQIA+ students and their allies. It provides a safe and supportive living environment where students can be their authentic selves, while engaging in meaningful connections and educational experiences.
