Mr. Pence is an American businessman who was United States Ambassador to Finland. His nomination was confirmed by the Senate on March 22, 2018.The Pence Group (formerly known as Pence-Friedel Developers, Inc) was founded by Ambassador Robert Frank Pence in 1984, and he served as its president for more than thirty years. The company is best known for developing and managing world-class shopping centers and hotels as well as office buildings throughout the United States. Since the company was founded in 1977, they have been responsible for over 6 million square feet of commercial development. The portfolio includes The Reston Home Depot Center, Stafford Marketplace in Stafford, the Dulles Expo & Conference Center in Chantilly, and a Holiday Inn in Chantilly.
A graduate of the Washington College of Law at СÀ¶ÊÓƵ, he is the namesake of the school's Pence Law Library.Â
