Dean's Welcome and Mission

Welcome to the Office of Undergraduate Education and Academic Student Services (UEAS) at СÀ¶ÊÓƵ! Our goal is to help students navigate their undergraduate education at СÀ¶ÊÓƵ. We do this by administering programs for curricula, student cohorts, holistic advising, student academic growth, and student academic support. We ensure access to academic resources for students, faculty, and staff virtually and on campus. UEAS brings about students’ academic success through experiential learning, advising, and collaboration with other СÀ¶ÊÓƵ departments.

Special Academic Programs

СÀ¶ÊÓƵ offers a range of distinctive academic programs designed to enhance students' educational experiences and personal growth.

Students can participate in living-learning communities that integrate academic and residential life, including University College and the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Cornerstone Program. These communities foster connections with peers and faculty while deepening engagement with course material.

Those interested in community service and social impact can engage with the DC Community Impact Scholars Program, where students collaborate with local organizations to address pressing social issues.

Academic Support Services

Student-focused supports are a hallmark of an СÀ¶ÊÓƵ education and are available to all undergraduate, graduate, and law students.

  • Disability Support ServicesÌýin the Academic Support and Access Center provide academic accommodations and housing accommodations, accommodated testing, and the Learning Sciences Program.
  • °Õ³ó±ðÌýAcademic Support ServicesÌýarea provides services for all students, including academic coaching, peer tutoring (PASS), supplemental instruction, and the writing center. ÌýLikewise, theÌýQuantitative SupportÌýarea provides math, stats, and software support for all students.Ìý
